Yes, blog s can be used for collaboration.  As in an article, Brooklyn Blog Helps Lead To Drug Raid, a blog in Bay Ridge helps the police to catch the Terrone brothers with the help of the community, anonymous strangers explaining their experiences living with and aroundnthe Terrone brothers. Can you think of a new use for a wiki that has not been done yet? Unfortunately, I cannot  if an innovative way to use a wiki that had not been done before.
